Our Story

.

mother at stand 2.jpg

In 1868, great great grandfather George Dold bought the land that now houses Wells Pumpkin Farm. In 1978, Bob and his sister Donna asked their mother Kathleen if they could sell her pumpkins from the garden. After those sold they then went to their grandmother Bonita and grabbed her extra stock. Next year they grew their own patch which transformed into what we have today.

Bob bought his first tractor in 1984, JD750 and increased the patch size from 3,000 sq ft to a full acre. Around 1990 as the business and the need for more display space grew, the garden became grass. The pumpkin shed was 1993's addition. Tina and Bob married in 1994 and have two sons Trevor and Troy. In 2024, our fall crop now covers 18 acres of land with over 160 varieties.
